As I am trying to integrate myself, not only into the University system (which is very different from the US) but I am also trying to become a Londoner.
Some terms I have learned so far:
Hub - stove top
Lollies - Candy ("Pop in the shop for some lollies")
"Knock on them"- give someone a hard time
Shite (but I bet you can figure out what that means).
And for all of you wondering, I have not yet attempted to put on a "fake" British accent because at this point I sound terrible and much too American.
